Wind Tunnel testing of the seal at City, conducted over the entire Mach Number range (M0.4 – M0.9), has continued through Q4 employing Laser Doppler Anemometry and Schlieren-based Optical methodologies.
Design and analysis activities have been undertaken with materials suppliers in support of parts for the final seal demonstrator.
Discussions have been held with the ATI FlyZero team regarding potential opportunities for wide bodied fuselage circumferential seals on the down-selected scout aircraft.
Planning continues for FIA Farnborough (City & FAC booths) in July 2022.
